Robby Krieger Fusion Band (9/30-10/2), w/ The Les Paul Trio (10/3): A founding member of The Doors, Robby Krieger is featured in Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" and was a driving force behind the band's success, writing songs like "Light My Fire," "Love me Two Times," "Touch Me," and "Love Her Madly."
John Oates Band (10/8-9), w/ The Les Paul Trio (10/10): Best known as half of the rock and soul duo Hall & Oates, John Oates co-wrote eight Billboard Number One songs, including "Sara Smile," "Maneater," "You Make My Dreams," and more.
Kazumi Watanabe Trio (19/14-16), w/ The Les Paul Trio (10/17): One of Japan's most celebrated guitarists makes a rare US appearance, as Kazumi Watanabe performs an exclusive three night run at The Iridium with his own band before sitting in with the Les Paul Trio.
Stanley Jordan's Guitar Fest w/ Bucky Pizzarelli (10/19-23): Grammy-winner Stanley Jordan is one of the most respected names in jazz guitar, and with his nimbly executed "touch" or "tap" technique, he ushered a dazzling and spellbinding new sound into the world of progressive instrumental music.
Larry Carlton (10/24): Grammy-winning guitarist Larry Carlton, known as "Mr. 335" for his mastery of the Gibson ES-335, boasts studio credits that include Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell, Michael Jackson, Sammy Davis Jr., Herb Alpert,
Quincy Jones,
Bobby Bland, Dolly Parton,
Linda Ronstadt, and dozens of others. He joined legendary jazz/rock group The Crusaders in 1971 and performed on 13 albums with them.
Hubert Sumlin and the Nighthawks (10/25-26): Best known for his work as guitarist for Howlin' Wolf, blues legend Hubert Sumlin's emotive and instantly recognizable style has influenced countless guitarists from
Eric Clapton and Keith Richards, to
Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Rolling Stone christened him one of "The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time."
