fun. Debut New Single 'We Are Young (Feat. Janelle Monae)' Available Now
NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Fueled By Ramen Records/ Atlantic Records) Fueled By Ramen recording group fun. has unveiled their hugely anticipated new single, the first from their upcoming label debut album. Produced by Jeff Bhasker (Kanye West, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Drake), "We Are Young (Feat. Janelle Monae)" is available now via iTunes and all digital retailers.

In addition, fans can currently stream an online video companion piece to the song at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nq2ekIMMYXA.

The critically acclaimed indie pop combo will celebrate the track's release by joining their "We Are Young" collaborator, Janelle Monae, on Reverb's upcoming Campus Consciousness Tour. The 15-date college tour will hit campuses in the Midwest and along the East Coast through October (see itinerary below). The biannual Campus Consciousness Tour (CCT) is both a concert and social consciousness campaign, aimed at offering students a message of environmental sustainability. In addition to supporting Monae, fun. will take part in the CCT daytime activities by performing a free acoustic set at a central location on each campus the tour visits. For complete details and up-to-the-minute information, please see www.campusconsciousness.org.

As if all that weren't enough, fun. will herald their new album with a very special sold-out hometown headline show, slated for November 9th at New York's famed Bowery Ballroom. A Los Angeles show at the Troubadour is also slated for November 14th; tickets for that show go on sale on this Saturday, September 24th.

Having earned widespread acclaim with their 2009 debut album, "AIM AND IGNITE," fun. decided to raise the stakes with their next album. A behind-the-scenes look at the making of fun.'s new album, due in early 2012, with producer Jeff Bhasker is streaming now at Complex.com (www.complex.com/music/2011/08/first-look-fun-hits-the-studio-with-watch-the-throne-producer-jeff-bhasker), as well as the band's own www.ournameisfun.com.

fun. began in 2008 when Nate Ruess teamed up with Andrew Dost and Jack Antonoff to meld an array of diverse inspirations into their own irresistible and freewheeling pop songcraft. The band drew instant attention for their contemporary rethinking of classic 70s pop, where ornate arrangements and inspired orchestrations meet present-day rock 'n' roll. Fit to burst with richly prolix lyricism and intricate melodic twists and turns, "AIM AND IGNITE" earned copious critical praise: Paste praised their "bubbly, pop-synth songs," and Huffington Post said of the band, "[fun. has] been quite on a roll since the release of their well-received debut."

The band followed the album's release with a series of live appearances, including headline dates and festivals, including Coachella.
