South Africa's The Parlotones Announce Toronto & Vancouver Dates On North American Tour
Toronto, CANADA (Top40 Charts/ Skylar Entertainment) From their origins in Johannesburg, South Africa, The Parlotones have achieved multi- platinum-selling status in their home country, selling more records than Coldplay, The Killers and Oasis together. In 2010, the rock 4-piece completed a sold-out 300-date, 18-month world tour where they packed out 1000+ venues.

Following two 60,000 capacity performances supporting Coldplay in their home country of South Africa, The Parlotones will return to North America in October for a headlining tour that will take them across the U.S. with two Canadian dates in Toronto and Vancouver.

Stardust Galaxies, the bands sixth album and debut North American album won Best Rock Album at the 2010 South African Music Awards while "Push Me To The Floor" won Best Music Video Of The Year. The band recently broadcast a live, multi-platform 3D/2D event simultaneously to cinemas, televisions and the internet. Dragonflies and Astronauts is a rock theatre event that weaves a narrative through The Parlotones 16 top 40 hits and was broadcast live from The Teatro at Montecasino. The transmission - a world first -was beamed via satellite to 3D outlets around the globe.

Survivor Micronesia Winner Parvati Swallow is hosting this season of CBS Interactive's award-winning web series Around The World For Free. She spent some time in Johannesburg, and they dedicated a whole episode to The Parlotones!
