A Showcase Of Folk Rock Music From Suckers For Symmetry's EP
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ JMD Records) Folk Rock gets a bad rap for being slow, too sweet, and sentimental. But what's wrong with that?
An admitted folk rocker is music artist Suckers For Symmetry. The San Diego, California native fell in love with the genre while living in Santa Cruz, and with the help of his friends, he went on to become a full-fledged music man, spreading original and unforgettable tunes to the listening public.

Suckers For Symmetry is Gaku Kelliher, a classically-trained pianist and self-taught guitarist, bassist, and singer. His penchant for music began at seven years old when he started tickling the ivories. The summer before his freshman year in high school, he and his friends formed a band; he was assigned bass but he learned guitar too. Soon he was jamming with other bands, performing an eclectic assortment of genres, and finally, discovering his own true, unique sound. Heavily influenced with the music of Neutral Milk Hotel, Damien Rice, Tyler the Creator, and Johnny Cash, with a hint of favorites Led Zeppelin, Of Montreal, Radiohead, and Flaming Lips - this wonderful menagerie enrich the Suckers For Symmetry musical repertoire.

'I write my music to express something and I want to instill anything in anyone as much as I try and connect with someone', Gaku says. His first album, a self-produced solo project EP titled 'We Make Two' strikes an impressive chord as Suckers For Symmetry music showcases extensive use of harmonies and acoustic instrumentation, with lyrical content that is based on two years' worth of Gaku's lifelong pursuit to make his own music - a brand of music that longs for love and happiness. If you're interested in stories, give Suckers For Symmetry a good listen.

Suckers For Symmetry's EP 'We Make Two' is available for download at iTunes, distributed by JMD Records and INgrooves, a partner of Universal Music Group.
