Chicago Rocks At President Clinton's 20th Anniversary Of Bid Announcement Gala
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Former President Bill Clinton called Chicago one of the "most important bands in music since the dawn of the rock and roll era" before they took the stage in Little Rock, AR this past Saturday. The legendary "rock 'n roll band with horns" was on hand to to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Clinton's presidential bid. Chicago was personally chosen by Clinton, who used the band's 1969 single "Beginnings" throughout his campaign, to perform at the event.

"This is the third time we have been asked to play for the Clintons," said Lee Loughnane, a founding member of Chicago. "It was an honor to be included in this 20 year celebration."

Chicago performed "Beginnings," "Make Me Smile," and "Colour My World" prior to Clinton's speech on the Old State House Lawn, and then performed at a closed-press BBQ to cap off the day's festivities. Guests at the event included past and present notable names from Clinton's inner circle, including Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel and former advisors such as James Carville and Vernon E. Jordan Jr.

Tuesday, October 4 marks the release of Chicago's 'O Christmas Three' (Chicago Records II), a holiday album that features guests including Dolly Parton, America, Steve Cropper, and BeBe Winans. The album, produced by the legendary Phil Ramone, includes traditionals, 20th century standards, and a brand-new song co-written by founding member Lee Loughnane. Chicago will tour the US throughout the fall in support of 'O Christmas Three.'
