The Skin I Live In

Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ CineMedia Promotions) Lakeshore Records will release The Skin I Live In -- Original Score Album available digitally on October 18th and in stores on November 29, 2011. The score was composed by Alberto Iglesias (The Kite Runner, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy).

Spain's most acclaimed composer, Alberto Iglesias, has solid classical training that includes piano, guitar, composition and counterpoint, as well as electronic music studies. Iglesias was nominated for two Academy Awards, for The Constant Gardener and The Kite Runner.

A composer for the concert hall (orchestra, ensemble and string quartet), Alberto Iglesias' work in ballet also includes original scores for dancer/choreographer Nacho Duato and his National Dance Company. He has composed scores for such avant-garde Spanish directors as Pedro Almodóvar (The Flower of My Secret, Live Flesh, All About my Mother, Talk to Her, Bad Education, Volver and Broken Embraces), Julio Médem (Vacas, La ardilla roja, Tierra, Los amantes del Círculo Polar, Sex and Lucia), Iciar Bollain (Take my eyes, También La Lluvia), Bigas Luna (La camarera del Titanic) and Carlos Saura (Dispara).

Mr. Iglesias also composed scores for the films Comandante, The Dancer Upstairs, Che, and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.
