New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Blue Note Records) Having returned to the U.S. after a sold-out tour with British songstress Adele, Blue Note recording artist
Amos Lee is making several television appearances and resuming his U.S. tour this month in support of his current album Mission Bell and an exclusive eight-song iTunes collection Live From SoHo that was released in August.
On October 10th, Lee performed "Hello Again" from Mission Bell on The
Tonight Show With Jay Leno. Backing him were Calexico's John Convertino and Joey Burns, who both play on Mission Bell, which was produced by Burns. The
Calexico crew recently joined Lee for a taping of the Public Television program Live From The Artists Den that will air during the series' fourth season, which begins in early 2012. The performance was captured at the historic Fox Theatre in Calexico's hometown of Tucson where Mission Bell was recorded. A sneak peek of the performance, featuring the album's lead-off single "Windows Are Rolled Down," premiered on Hulu on October 6th. See it here.
Lee will perform "Out of the Cold" on Rachael Ray on October 17th. He will also perform "Cup of Sorrow" at the 10th Americana
Music Association Honors and Awards ceremony at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on October 13th, which will be shown live locally on PBS and nationally on November 19th as a special episode of the new season of the highly acclaimed PBS series Austin City Limits.
After earning raves for his U.K. shows with
Adele (who lavished praise on Lee during her set), the artist kicks off a series of U.S. tour dates on October 20th in Portland, ME, with support from Pieta Brown (who appears on Mission Bell), followed by a hometown show in Philadelphia with support from
Brett Dennen on November 5th, and an appearance at KBCO's Holiday Concert Series in Denver (also with Dennen) on December 9th. Also in December, Lee will perform two shows with one of his heroes, singer-songwriter John Prine, on the 16th and 17th. Please see below for all upcoming tour dates.
