New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Following a hugely successful run opening for
Wilco this fall, Nick Lowe has confirmed another set of shows with the band from November 29 - December 12. See below for a complete list of dates.
Lowe joined
Wilco onstage during several recent shows to perform his classic tune "I Love My Label," which
Wilco recently recorded as a single B-side, and the Jim Ford song "36 Inches High," which appears on his 1978 solo debut 'Jesus of Cool.'
According the New York Times, "Mr. Lowe is enjoying a remarkable second wind." His "gently devastating" (USA Today) new album 'The Old Magic' (Yep Roc) was released last month to the biggest first-week sales and highest Billboard debut of his career.
Here's what press are saying about the tour:
"Lowe looked cool as Cash (or perhaps Christ) decked out head-to-toe in black...the songwriter delighted all - and enlightened some - with a 12-song, one-man, all-killer acoustic set." - Nashville Scene
"A fine moment for a singer-songwriter who's never quite found the audience he deserves. But if the standing ovation was any indication, maybe the audience has finally found him." - NPR Music
"Stellar performance...Lowe has carefully honed his delicate amiability to a pinnacle." - SF Weekly
