Newmoney Releases "Ambitions Of A Writer" Mixtape
Miami, FL (Top40 Charts/ Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes) Hip hop artist Newmoney recently released his mixtape "Ambitions Of A Writer." Presented by Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes, the project is available at https://www.coast2coastmixtapes.com for free download. "Ambitions Of A Writer," features Newmoney on tracks with Fenix and Castre The Don as artist features. Jhalil Beats (with credits Lil Wayne, Fabolous, Chris Brown, Meek Mill, Soulja Boy) produced the entire project.

Hearing Christopher Newman, aka Newmoney recount his childhood memories, there's no doubt why this 26-year-old emcee goes so hard on the microphone. He just wants to escape the troubles and tribulations of his past.

Newmoney spent his early years in Irvington, New Jersey, a small township of a little over 60,000 people in Essex County, but with a violent crime rate six times higher than the entire state. Located outside of Newark, the city was hit hard by the crack epidemic during the 1980s, the time Newmoney was born, and still struggles from the effects today. Irvington is also credited with producing some of hip hop's most groundbreaking (Lords of the Underground), infamous (Tupac Shakur's "god brother" and Outlawz member Yaki Kadafi) and influential (Queen Latifah) recording acts.

Newmoney, who grew up idolizing emcees like Jay-Z, Biggie, Big L, AZ, Redman, and DMX, is a true product of his environment. From the breakup of his family to multiple evictions and the traumatic death of his mother from cancer on Christmas morning, his life experiences have shaped the person and recording artist he is today. Understandably, some scars run deep, as evidenced by Newmoney's emotionally-charged music.

"Everything I've seen, done, felt, heard, been through, witnessed, and know goes into my music. All the pain... all the joy," says Newmoney, who has been featured in XXL's Freshman 2011 issue and The Source magazine, about his musical inspiration. "Everything inside me goes into my music."

After his parents' divorce at age 13, Newmoney and his mother moved from predominately black and dangerous Irvington to the predominately white, upper middle class suburban enclave of Westfield, NJ. It was around this time the rebellious youth started getting in trouble - both in school and with the law - and discovering his talent for writing and spitting rhymes.

"When I was in high school and it would be a bunch of us in the cafeteria, hallway, schoolyard, or in detention writing rhymes and having cyphers, I always got good reactions from everybody. Also, when we had poetry assignments, it was easy to me and I always got [good grades] on them. I even wrote some for other people and they got [good grades] as well. Teachers always told me I had a gift."

Newmoney has appeared on several mixtapes, including Coast 2 Coast, Piff On Wax, and solo projects such as "There is No Tomorrow" (hosted by DJ On Point) and "The Exhibition" (hosted by LA Prophecy). One of Newmoney's latest projects, "No Holding Back," received rave reviews from fans and critics alike with a major Internet presence.

When talking about "Ambitions Of A Writer," Newmoney explains, "I felt like I have something to prove. I don't feel like I get the respect that I deserve as an artist and lyricist. So I went in the studio with a chip on my shoulder and a point to prove, and I want to show that my goals are realistic and I felt like the title brought that point across."

Newmoney is ready to prove doubters wrong and that he is here to stay.
