Rolling Stone called Robertson and Clapton's vocal and guitar exchanges "sublime roughage, the sound of two men with shared roots still moving forward" and praised Winwood's "throaty bolts of organ" while People Magazine hailed "Fear of Falling" as the album's "soulful stand-out."

Robertson recently celebrated the release of How To Become Clairvoyant - The Collection with a sold-out appearance at the GRAMMY® Museum's Clive Davis Theater.
