The online platform will offer millions of aspiring artists a fresh alternative to shows such as "American Idol," "X Factor" and "The Voice," where only a lucky few make it onto national television. The established team of industry veterans behind RockCityClub.com also includes: Co-Founders Brian Silver and Ofek Hayon; Nyhl Henson, Founder, CMT, Nickelodeon, MTV; Stacy Haitsuka, Founder of the NETZERO company; software pioneer Chris Murray; Michael Dann, previously the Head of Programming at CBS Television; and Don Kirshner, the legendary and iconic music promoter who passed away earlier this year.

"Everyone looks at discovering talent from what they see -- 'American Idol,' 'X Factor,' 'The Voice,' 'MySpace,' 'YouTube.' It's crowded and all are looking for a needle in the haystack," said Jack Wishna. "What we do at RockCityClub.com is take care of the haystack." The idea is to target musical performers and acts struggling to be discovered. "American Idol" will fill a stadium with auditioning acts, but the producers might take only a half-dozen performers out of the group to Hollywood. RockCityClub.com targets the thousands of would-be performers left undiscovered.
