HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. (Top40 Charts / Zumba Fitness) International music superstar,
Pitbull (a.k.a. Mr. Worldwide) has invited global dance-fitness company Zumba Fitness to join him on the Euphoria Tour with
Enrique Iglesias on stage during three key concert tour locations: Newark, Los Angeles and Miami. Zumba celebrities, Gina Grant,
Tanya Beardsley and Beto Perez, will perform the customized Zumba choreography for "
Pause" off of Pitbull's new critically acclaimed album Planet Pit. The choreography video for the song has already received over 1 million views and the moves are practiced by thousands of Zumba fans all over the world.
"Zumba Fitness is the only fitness company to ever go on tour with a major recording artist," said Alberto Perlman, CEO of Zumba Fitness. "It continues to be such an incredible experience to watch Zumba's growth since its inception one decade ago; the company began as a dance-fitness concept and developed into a massive lifestyle brand. We are honored that such an influential, talented artist as
Pitbull has invited us to join him on his tour."
Zumba Fitness began its relationship with
Pitbull earlier this year when Beto created the dance arrangement for Pitbull's "
Pause" choreography video. This past summer, the performer joined the global dance-fitness company in Orlando, Florida for its annual convention.
Pitbull infused excitement into a crowd of over 6,000 Zumba instructors in a Zumba Fitness Concert™, in addition to a private evening concert for the instructors. In September,
Pitbull put on an energetic performance alongside Zumba Fitness dancers during the 5th Annual ALMA awards, where he was awarded the prestigious award for "Best Male
Music Artist."
The Euphoria tour began in
Boston on
September 22nd. Beto, Gina Grant and
Tanya Beardsley have already appeared on two tour stops including Newark, New Jersey, on
September 24 and Los Angeles, California, on October 6. The last Zumba/Pitbull stop will be at the sold out concert on October 22 in Miami, Florida, at the American Airlines Arena.
Originating as a Latin-inspired dance workout routine, created by Beto just a decade ago, Zumba has developed into a global lifestyle with fitness programs ranging from Zumbatomic classes for kids to the Zumba Gold program for active older adults. Through these classes, Zumba Fitness helps over 12 million people each week in 125 countries throughout the world build a network of support and friendships - reclaiming their lives with a fun, easy and safe way to get and stay in shape.
