LAS VEGAS, NV. (Top40 Charts) Marie Osmond was rushed to hospital in Las Vegas last night after a show with her brother Donny Osmond. There were concerns she had injured her singing voice, but her spokesman says she was later diagnosed with bronchitis.
Osmond was released from hospital a few hours after she was admitted.
"[Marie has a] bad lung problem," the singer's representative Alan Nierob told.
Osmond is still expected to perform Thursday night at the Flamingo.
"Getting ready to go to the show," she tweeted earlier. "Big doll event tonight. Nothing could make me miss this."
"Donny & Marie" is a 90-minute concert that features the brother-sister duo performing their greatest hits. Tickets are on sale now for shows from Friday, Oct. 28 through Saturday, Nov. 26.
As a country music artist, Osmond gained fame during the 1970s and 1980s. She and Donny hosted Donny & Marie, a variety show that featured comedy skits and singing.
