Peter Gabriel, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, David Crosby And Graham Nash Celebrate The Millions Of People Joining The Video-For-Change Revolution
New York, NY (Top40 Charts / WITNESS Organization) Music legend and human rights advocate Peter Gabriel will host the 7th Annual Focus for Change benefit dinner and concert for WITNESS, the international human rights organization on Thursday, November 10th at the Roseland Ballroom in NYC.

The event will have performances by Rodrigo y Gabriela, David Crosby & Graham Nash and other special guests.

The evening celebrates citizen activists from around the world who are fueling revolutionary change with the use of video, technology and social media. This past year we saw incredible movements spreading across the Middle East and North Africa with the help of Facebook, YouTube, video and text messaging, as well as a rise of a new generation of young activists, who are tech savvy and hungry for social transformation.

This year, WITNESS highlights an inspiring partner, the Egyptian Democratic Academy (EDA), who focuses on using video and new media to rally the public to demand for a new constitution that ensures the protection of human rights and democratic values in Egypt. EDA is a non-profit youth organization that promotes values of freedom of opinion and expression, openness and political and religious tolerance.

About WITNESS
WITNESS is a global human rights organization that is a leader in the use of video advocacy as a tool for human rights change, by placing visual evidence, powerful stories and ways to act in front of decision-makers who can make a difference. Co-founded in 1992 by musician Peter Gabriel, WITNESS has worked with and trained hundreds of partner organizations and thousands of human rights activists in over 80 countries around the world. Videos produced through these collaborations have created positive human rights change, such as shedding light on the systemic repression of ethnic minorities in Burma, aiding the prosecution of recruiters of child soldiers in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and rallying support for the first law protecting the elderly from abuse in the United States.
