New Album From Nihal / Bobby Friction / Huw Stephens Favourite - Romay 'Playing With Sound'
LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Vision Music Promo) Influenced by synthesisers, Jazz & traditional indian music at an early age by his father, Romay started learning music at shcool. At 16 Listening to Pirate stations, Hardcore and Jungle music every day became a neccessity and soon a way of life for Kam who also started Dj'ing and getting into the Ragga/Hardcore/Jungle and emerging Drum & Bass scene. Romay progressed to making some D&B dubplates of his own at a relatives studio, and his DJing career started to take off.

"Timeless production, fresh and addictive beats'' - BBC Radio 1 - Nihal
"The pioneer of Bolly Dubstep - You can't touch ROMAYS production" - BBC Asian Network - Bobby Friction
"From the first beat you're hooked that's ROMAYS trademark" - BBC 1 Xtra - DJ Target

Dj'ing at Ministry/Bagleys and resident for 2 years at Limelights. Romay then set about getting his own studio together and learning the finer points of engineering attending London school of sound & SAE institute. Romay gained experience by mixing down his friends Rock bands and other artist's works and slowly developing his skills. Drawing from a wide variety of musical styles ie. Dubstep / Jazz/Classical/Rock & Traditional Indian, Romay started work on a wide range of musical projects including production work for large acts such as Asian Dub Foundation, as well as his own D&B and Dustep tunes.

After 23 releases between 2000-2007on uk labels such as Vibez Recordings/Full Fat Recordings/Rumour Records/Strictly-Digital/ Pivotal Recs/Basement Records, 3 years were taken out of the studio, this time was spent understanding the direction of where the music was going and where it should be. In Oct 2010 Romay issued 4 test tracks of different genres to radio stations, within 2 weeks 3 of the tracks made it to radio including plays on BBC Radio 1, 1 Xtra , and Asian Network.

Romay was ready to push his new eclectic tracks further and so set up his own label "Acoustic Science".
After speaking with UK distributor Nu-Urban Music, the label was set to be introduced to the world of music.
Now An accomplished producer & mix engineer with 16 years experience Romay says:

" We want to make & promote new and exciting music with a texture and beauty that stands out in any genre of music. The music we promote is melodic, technical but sounds natural, yet dynamic enough to work on the dancefloor in basic terms Acoustically Scientific.
Break-Beats/Drum'n'Bass has been the flavour for me over the last 10 years, recently moving into more Electro breaks, Dubstep & Indian Fusion projects and generally whatever sounds good, i am always looking to create good sounding music that works in a variety of environments".

With current projects being supported and played by Kiss Fm, BBC Radio 1, BBC Asianetwork and many more local stations across the Uk, India, Pakistan and US, Romay is an artist to watch over the next few years and Acoustic Science is the label. Keeping it Acoustically Scientific.
