Bay Area's Alternative-Progressive Rock Band Case In Theory To Release Debut Album 'Cinematic' December 2011
San Francisco, CA (Top40 Charts/ Glass Onyon PR) Case In Theory (CIT), one of the Bay Area's up-and-coming alternative-progressive-rock bands, is releasing their debut full length record, Cinematic, in December of 2011. This hard hitting, yet eloquent eleven-track album is a culmination of thoughts and ideas that have been circulating in the band throughout the past 4 years. In early November, CIT will head out on an 18 day, 5-state Southwest tour to promote the album's release.

Known for his keen ear and great sense of new music, CBS Radio Live 105.3 Music Director Aaron Axelsen debuted their first single, "The Day," on October 30th, 2011, during his world famous show Soundcheck.

CIT consists of members Jonathan Posadas (guitar/lead vocals), Tadeo Ramirez (guitar), Ben Everett (bass) and Jamin Bracken (drums), and draws most of its influence from life, love, current events and everyday lessons. Cinematic pays homage to the atmospheric style of similar bands like Dredg, Incubus and Circa Survice, combining climatic choruses with spacey, intoxicating verses backed by a hard-hitting hip-hop/funk influenced rhythm section.

CIT was able to raise $4,585 back in August 2011 through the online funding website, KickStarter. They reached out to their fans, friends and families, and in 45 days they successfully reached 114% of their goal. "We honestly don't know what we would've done without the generous donations we received on Kickstarter," says Everett. "We poured our hearts and our wallets into this album and we hope everyone just realizes how much of ourselves we put into this. It would be pretty cool if they liked the album too," he says jokingly.

Guitars, bass and vocals were recorded at ARA Studio's in San Francisco with old friend Adam Rossi (Luce, Cousin Dale), and they went to Sam Pura (The Limousines, Beta State, The Story So Far) of Panda Studios to record drums. Vince Ratti (Circa Survive, Balance & Composure, Psychic Babble) of The Skylight Studio in Pennsylvania mixed their album and Bill Henderson (Balance & Composure, Tigers Jaw) at Azimuth Mastering in New Jersey did the mastering.

CIT plans to keep touring for this album throughout 2012 in hopes that people everywhere will jump on board and continue to follow them through their career.

"Cinematic is only the beginning, as it is our first full length and we hope that people feel the passion and love we put into these songs," says Posadas. "We'll continue to perform and write songs we love and we truly hope that more people will join us in our musical journey. Pass the album on to anyone and everyone that you think would be into it, we certainly want as many people as possible to hear what we're all about."
