NASHVILLE, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Warner Music Nashville) Blake Shelton receives two People's Choice Awards nominations for "Favorite Male Artist" and "Favorite Country Artist." This is Shelton's first nomination for the fan-voted award show. NBC's " The Voice" is also nominated for a People's Choice Awards in "Favorite TV Competition Show."
The announcement comes in at an exciting week for Shelton who is currently up for five CMA Awards including "Entertainer of the Year," "Male Vocalist of the Year" and "Album of the Year." The 45th Annual CMA Awards - "Country Music's Biggest Night" - will broadcast live tomorrow, November 9 on the ABC Television Network in Nashville. Shelton will open tomorrow night's award show with Kenny Loggins singing the hit song "Footloose." His current hit single, " God Gave Me You" is a three-week No. 1. Shelton is the only country artist to achieve three No. 1 hits in this calendar year.
