Dave Matthews Band guitarist Tim Reynolds, Michelle Shocked ,
Dennis Coffey, Mike Stern, L'Image (featuring Steve Gadd and Tony Levin), and more celebrate the holidays and ring in the New Year at THE live music destination for audiophiles in NYC.
TR3 feat. Tim Reynolds, Mick Vaughn, and Dan Martier (12/6-8): Tim Reynolds may be best known as lead guitarist for the
Dave Matthews Band, but he's also kept up a steady solo career spanning more than thirty-five years. He'll perform at The Iridium with his acclaimed trio.
Michelle Shocked (12/11), w/ The Les Paul Trio (12/12): Michelle Shocked first came to fame when her 1986 'Texas Campfire Tapes' album became an unexpected hit. In the 25 years since, Shocked has earned critical praise at every juncture for her unpredictable and wildly creative recordings.
L'Image feat. Steve Gadd, Tony Levin, Mike Manieri,
David Spinozza, and Warren Bernhardt (12/15-18): L'Image features nothing short of four legends: vibraphonist & producer Mike Mainieri (Carly Simon,
Buddy Rich, Wes Montgomery); pianist Warren Bernhardt (Simon & Garfunkel, Steely Dan,
George Benson); drummer Steve Gadd, (Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton,
James Taylor); and bassist Tony Levin (King Crimson,
Peter Gabriel, Stevie Nicks).
Dennis Coffey w/ The Les Paul Trio (12/19):
Detroit guitarist
Dennis Coffey was a member of the Motown house band The Funk Brothers and is featured in the film 'Standing in the
Shadows of Motown.' He has performed with artists as diverse as Del Shannon, The Temptations, and
George Clinton and Funkadelic. His song "Scorpio" was a million-selling single and a key foundational track in the development of hip-hop.
4 Generations of Miles feat. Mike Stern, Jimmy Cobb, Buster Williams, and
Sonny Fortune (12/21-25): One of the towering figures in the history of jazz, Miles Davis was an innovative genius with an unmistakable style and unmatched musical range. Some of today's most celebrated jazz talents will gather Christmas week to celebrate his memory.
Mike Stern Band feat. Randy Brecker, John Patitucci, and
Dave Weckl (12/29-1/1): In a career that spans three decades and a discography that includes more than a dozen eclectic and innovative recordings, six-time Grammy nominee Mike Stern has established himself as one of the premier jazz and jazz-fusion guitarists and composers of his generation.
