Two Decades Mediabase Airplay For Escape Club; New Album 'Celebrity' In-stores Feb 2012 On Indie Whipped Cream Records Through Redeye Distribution
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ BeanBag1 Entertainment) Two Decades Mediabase Airplay For Escape Club; New Album 'Celebrity' In-stores Feb 2012 On Indie Whipped Cream Records Through Redeye Distribution. The Billboard #1 song "Wild Wild West" originally released in 1988 by Escape Club has played 1,415 times on music radio stations in the United States during 2011 according to the Mediabase tracking services website. Broadcast formats playing the song most often are Adult Contemporary, Hot AC, and Alternative Rock.

Escape Club have five Billboard Top 100 songs, including #1 "Wild Wild West", #8 "I'll Be There", #28 "Shake For The Sheik", #44 "Call It Poison", and #81 "Walking Through Walls". "Wild Wild West" was also #3 on Modern Rock Tracks in Billboard.

The new Escape Club album, 'Celebrity', is scheduled for release February 7, 2012. Founding members and Escape Club songwriters Trevor Steel and John Holliday are joined by drummer Red Broad for the new album, featuring 11 songs written or co-written by Steel/Holliday. The new tracks were recorded in London, Los Angeles, and Sydney.

The 'Celebrity' album will be available through independent Redeye Distribution of Haw River, NC, on Whipped Cream Records, a partnership between Trevor Steel, John Holliday, and music industry veteran David Bean, owner of BeanBag1 Entertainment (BB1) in Monterey, California. BeanBag1 will oversee marketing and promotion, with the album scheduled to ship to Triple A / Rock radio during the last week in December for a national promotion campaign to begin January 2, 2012 led by BB1 subsidiary, Artist Airplay Advisors.

Whipped Cream Records will service press during the pre-release period by providing access to publicity photos and CDs for review. The Public Relations emphasis will include online media, with viral videos produced by the band introducing new songs, concert performances, and behind the scenes moments. The album's title track was recently leaked on YouTube as part of a Celebrity satire and can be found at https://youtu.be/tGHn7sGA12Q. The band will also utilize Facebook, Twitter, and their own website at https://theescapeclub.net for communicating with fans.

A solo press and radio station tour featuring live acoustic performances by Trevor Steel is expected in Los Angeles and New York for late April and early May.

Additional Press is planned in support of a summer U.S. tour for the full band following dates scheduled in Australia. Escape Club looks forward to performing again, as "Playing live was always one of our strengths," Trevor says, "All those years ago its what got us started in the London clubs and it's something we've missed very much."
