Grouplove Announce Spring Tour; LA-based Band To Join Young The Giant On Cross Country Trek Beginning March 6, 2012
NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Atlantic Records/ Canvasback Music) Canvasback Music/Atlantic recording artists Grouplove have unveiled details of their North American touring plans for 2012. The Los Angeles-based quintet will support fellow SoCal band Young The Giant on a cross country trek that begins on March 6th at Higher Ground in Burlington, VT (see below). Tickets for most shows go on sale on Friday, November 18. Please visit www.grouplovemusic.com for more information.

One of the year's most talked about new bands, Grouplove released their highly anticipated full length debut "NEVER TRUST A HAPPY SONG" in September. Impressively debuting on the Billboard 200 upon release, the 12 song collection was produced by the band's own Ryan Rabin and features the hit single, "Colours." Currently in the Top 15 on the Alternative Radio chart, "Colours" has been enjoying rising airplay nationwide with widespread hometown support from KCRW, KYSR, and, most recently, KROQ, in addition to being one of the most played songs on SiriusXM's Alt Nation. Earlier this year, SPIN called "Colours" "one of the most infectious songs you're bound to hear" and has a "Breaking Out" feature on the band in its current issue. Grouplove will perform "Colours" on CBS' "The Late Show with David Letterman" this Friday.

Just a year after forming, indie rock band Grouplove was already being heralded by NME as one of the "Best New Bands of 2010." Grouplove closed last year touring the U.S. with The Joy Formidable and being handpicked to open a number of West Coast dates for Florence + The Machine. In January 2011, the band released their self-titled debut EP and have been touring nearly nonstop since, including a sold-out, cross country co-headlining tour with Foster The People. This past summer also saw the LA-based quintet perform at music festivals all over the world and back home in the U.S., including stand-out sets at Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, the Reading & Leeds festivals and Glastonbury, among others. The September release of Grouplove's critically acclaimed full length debut "NEVER TRUST A HAPPY SONG" was supported by a headlining tour that sold out in nearly every city visited and a stunning nationally televised performance of "Colours" on TBS' "Conan" after its first week in stores.

Grouplove is: Christian Zucconi (vocals, guitar), Hannah Hooper (vocals, keys), Sean Gadd (bass, vocals), Andrew Wessen (guitar, vocals), Ryan Rabin (drums).
