New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Warp Records) After the spending the summer and fall performing at some of the biggest festivals in the world, Chk Chk Chk are back in New York and playing three shows in the tri-state area. The shows are all-ages with the Brooklyn date being a benefit event for Showpaper, a non-profit organization which produces a free bi-weekly print-only publication which lists and promotes every all-ages & DIY show in the NYC / tri-state area.
Known for their awe-inspiring live performances they are always a festival highlight, wowing crowds at this year's Bonnaroo, Coachella, Virgin FreeFest, Outside Lands, Sasquatch, Bilbao, and Primavera Fauna amongst others. Singer Nic Offer's onstage charisma can charm even the most jaded of concert-goers, getting everyone to dance to the tunes as maniacally as he does, regardless if it is in a dark venue at 3am or sun-drenched field at 3pm. Pitchfork documented from this past Coachella, Offer "bounding into the audience, climbing up scaffolding, and showing off his go-to palms-down/shoulder-swivel…"
Chk Chk Chk is bringing the flare that captivated tens of thousands on the festival circuit to these DIY style gigs next month. This is a great opportunity to check out some classic and new material in an intimate setting.
