Asphalt Messiah recently joined forces with Sex Drive
Energy Drink. An international marketing plan is currently being worked out to cross promote the music of Asphalt Messiah while brining more awareness to the "Official
Energy Drink of Fun." During filming of the movie Kacy Jones negotiated a promotional spot for Sex Drive
Energy Drink which was filmed for inclusion in the movie as well.
"We are truly excited to be working with such an amazingly talented director as
Miguel Rodriguez, and the film is truly side-splitting!!! We had long hours but we had a lot of fun on the set. We also had the opportunity to promote one of our new sponsors, Sex Drive
Energy Drink to the cast and crew which turned out very positive with some hysterically funny moments. We look forward to further cross promotions which have been receiving proven results for all involved thus far. Our new association with
Miguel Rodriguez to further cross promote music through media, as well as advertisements for quality products in the US, Canadian and Latin American markets further solidifies the foundation of Asphalt Messiah" stated Jones.
Miguel Ángel Rodríguez is an icon of Latin American film. He is well known throughout Latin American and Mexico as an actor, director, producer, and screenwriter. He is being hailed as the Latin American link between the US, Canada and Latin American by cross promoting American musical artists into his films as well as incorporating Latin American and American actors. The racial diversity of Asphalt Messiah as well as their belief "we can all achieve great things by working together" played an important role in selecting their music for the movie.
Miguel Ángel Rodríguez acting credits include such movies as "Bajo la mirada de Dios", "Llamada anónima" and "Sueños de muerte" in which he portrayed Teniente Mendez. As a movie director his credits include "Dos gallos de Guanajuato", "Entre el poder y el deseo" and "La Voz de los caracoles". His production credits inclue such films as "En las manos de Dios", and "Imperio blanco". One of most notable screenwriting credits is for the film "Entre el poder y el deseo".
The members of Asphalt Messiah hail from different points of the country, but all bring something special to the table collectively. This diversity has allowed them to create music that brings "ALL PEOPLE" to the same concert hall. Their racial diversity is their strength and is a true representation that we can all achieve great things together. The band consistently works with inner-city youth promoting drug free awareness, the importance of education and performs charity events for our US Military personnel.
During the summer of 2009, Asphalt Messiah put together a specialized trailer/video for the song "Transform Me" for presentation to Paramount
Pictures to consider for inclusion in the "
Transformer" movie trilogy. Asphalt Messiah was the only Independent band at the table with such well known acts as "Nickelback", "Green Day", "Linkin Park", "Cheap Trick" and others vying to have their song included in the film, with "Transform Me" being strongly considered by Paramount.
Asphalt Messiah has opened for Hip Hop legend Warren G at Busby's in LA, headlined at the IRON CIRCUS, Rocked the Marines "Toys For Tots", played to a sold out crowd at the Whiskey A-Go-Go on the Sunset Strip where they opened for the platinum recording band
P.O.D. with
Slash and other well-known artists performing at the event as well.
Most recently Asphalt Messiah has played live on Direct TV and Dish Network and is involved in other television projects. "Don't Forget the Fallen" is the newest release by Asphalt Messiah, paying tribute to not only our military personnel but their families as well. They are the reason we can sleep at night, enjoy the liberties and rights we enjoy as Americans" stated Jones.
