UK Breakout Group One Direction Announce US Debut Album Release
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Columbia Records) The biggest UK breakout group of 2011, One Direction is ready to take America by storm with the release of their debut album UP ALL NIGHTon March 20, 2012 via Syco/Columbia Records. Their debut single "What Makes You Beautiful" became the fastest selling single of 2011 and entered the chart at #1 in both the UK and Ireland. The music video has already garnered over 24M views, check it out here: https://vevo.ly/1DWMYB.

One Direction areLiam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik. All five boys auditioned for the UK show X Factor in 2010 as solo artists. However, at the suggestion of Simon Cowell and guest judge Nicole Scherzinger they joined forces as a group, quickly becoming one of the competition's most popular acts of all time, finishing in the final three and garnering a gigantic and loyal fan-base along the way.

Stand out tracks on the album include recent record-breaking No.1 'What Makes You Beautiful', the pulsating pop/rock 'Tell Me A Lie' written by Kelly Clarksonand 'Gotta Be You', an emotive and heartfelt ballad with lush strings, soaring harmonies and an indelible melody. The epically anthemic 'One Thing' is another hit-in-waiting: 'More Than This', a beautiful and melodic smash, has the boys distinctive vocals sounding stronger than ever. Other collaborators include RedOne and Toby Gad (Beyonce, Fergie, etc) with the boys co-writing on several tracks.

A special Limited Yearbook Deluxe Edition of the album will also be available featuring two extra tracks, including 'Stand Up' and the fan favorite 'Moments'. The package also includes an exclusive booklet featuring personal photos of the band, interviews, fan photos and stickers.

One Direction will join the North American leg of the Big Time Rush "Better With U Tour" beginning February 24th in Chicago. Tickets are on sale at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
