Mobile has teamed with
Houston hip-hop artist Slim Thug, along with rapper Juvenile, to host a food drive to benefit the
Houston Food Bank. From now through Dec. 16, 25 Boost
Mobile stores throughout the
Houston area will serve as drop off locations for cans of food. Visitors who drop off five or more cans of food will receive a free pair of tickets1 to the
Slim Thug and
Juvenile concert on Friday, Dec. 16, at Warehouse Live in Houston.
"Partnering with
Slim Thug is a great way to encourage the
Houston community to give back this holiday season. As in years past, we are confident we will provide the
Houston Food Bank a large contribution of canned goods."
"It is important to give back to the less fortunate because you always have to remember when you were in their shoes and needed help," said Slim Thug. "May God bless those who bless others."
This is the third year Boost
Mobile has partnered with local
Houston hip-hop artists for a holiday food drive. In 2009 and 2010 combined, the effort produced more than 15,000 cans of food for the Food Bank to distribute to
