LOS ANGELES (Court News Website) - Courtney Love surrendered to police after an arrest warrant for assault with a deadly weapon was issued last week. Love turned herself in to Los Angeles Police Friday (June 11), where she was booked with one count of assault with a deadly weapon, a felony. She posted $55,000 bail and was released. Prosecutors have said the charge stems from an April 25 incident at the Los Angeles home of her former manager Jim Barber. Her court proceedings will start July 9 with an arraignment. The charges stem from an alleged assault on a friend of her former manager April 25. Love allegedly battered an unnamed woman with a metal flashlight and a glass bottle. Love has also been charged in three other cases, including two stemming from encounters with police on the same night last October. Love, the widow of Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain, has been scheduled to tour in June and July to support her solo album 'America's Sweetheart.'
