Umphrey's Mcgee Take "transcendent" Rock To Nyc's Best Buy Theater, 1.20-1.21

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) "Consummate musical alchemists" (EW) Umphrey's McGee will bring their shape-shifting brand of experimental rock 'n roll to the Big Apple's Best Buy Theater on Friday, January 20 and Saturday, January 21. Umphrey's will perform their latest single "Booth Love" and other songs from their explosive new album 'Death By Stereo' (ATO), as well as a wide variety of classics, rarities, and covers.

Umphrey's most recent NYC visit was a four-night run at Brooklyn Bowl this past September that included guest appearances from Bob Weir and Biz Markie and covers of artists including Bruce Springsteen, Talking Heads, and Steve Miller Band. Consequence of Sound said the shows were evidence that the band is "able to produce high-quality, often transcendent shows on a consistent basis" and Village Voice praised the group for its "impeccable playing and pristine arrangements."
