PHOENIX, Arizona (Waterbrook Music) - Featuring urban and contemporary gospel songs from Briana Scott, Ronnie Jack, and Celia King, this compilation CD proves that it gets more than just hot in the desert.

Three of Phoenix's most gifted gospel recording artists have managed to produce a project that makes it evident why they have ministered with some of the biggest names in gospel. Briana, Celia, and Ronnie have individually served alongside such legends and world-renowned recording artists as James Cleveland, Dr. Mattie Moss Clark and The Clark Sisters, Shirley Caesar, Tramaine Hawkins, The Winans, Stevie Wonder, Commissioned, John P. Kee, Fred Hammond, Daryl Coley, Yolanda Adams, CeCe Winans, Hezekiah Walker, Kim Burrell, and Israel Houghton.

"Desert Rain" highlights just how much anointing God has showered down on these artists, and lets the rest of the nation get a taste of what Arizona has known for years. The CD contains 11 tracks that clearly deliver messages of praise and worship as well as encouragement and hope - but with an urban and contemporary twist.

Ronnie opens the project with "I Can't Wait", a track with a jazz and R&B edge that speaks of the anticipation of seeing God face to face. Following is Celia with "How Great Thou Art", an up tempo cut that highlights the pristine clarity of Celia's vocals as she sings of God's sovereignty when confronting everyday life. "Nothing's Too Hard" spotlighting Briana's calming and soft presence is next, which was featured on the previously released "Signs of Things to Come Vol. 1" compilation project in 2003. All three songs are currently in radio rotation.
With talent and ministry of this caliber, "Desert Rain" is already creating a storm.
