Rockwired Is Pleased To Announce The December Rockwired Artist Of The Month - One Eyed Doll And Their Album 'Break'!!!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Rockwired Official Website) The polls have closed for Rockwired.com's recent Artist of the Month campaign. Voters from all over the U.S. made their vote count and One Eyed Doll and their latest release Break. Described as Strawberry Shortcake meets Gwar and Valentines Day meets Halloween with the visual impact of Japanese Anime, One-Eyed Doll is an award-winning Austin, Texas power rock duo - comprised of Kimberly Freemen and Jason Rufuss Sewell (aka Junior) - with a loyal global fan base and extensive international press exposure. In 2009, 2010 and 2011 the group swept the SXSW Music Awards in categories such as Best Punk Band, Best Metal Band, Best Goth Band, Best New Band, Best Acoustic Guitarist, Best Electric Guitarist, Best Producer, Best Drummer, Best Songwriter, Best Female Vocalist and more. The group has independently released three full-length albums, appears in Revolver, Guitar World and Guitar Player magazines and has left several national tours in its wake including major anime conventions (DragonCon, AniMix, IKKiCON, Anime Overload, ShadoCon, etc.) Blazing the band's wildfire buzz amongst their growing legions of religiously crazed fans is One-Eyed Doll's cult leader: the impossible-not-to-love Kimberly Freemen, whose punishment is so sweet you'll beg for more.

Other nominees for Artist of the Month included Tom Wopat, Em, All The Right Moves, Jason Hemmens, Ostwelve and Mozik.

Rockwired.com will be launching its latest Artist of the Month campaign on December 1, 2011. Nominees for this latest wave include Hillbilly Vegas, Natasha James, Frank, Shelley Morningsong, Melanie Stormm, Terraplane Sun and Bri Bagwell. Polling is provided by MIicropoll and is as simple as making a selection and clicking 'vote'.

While there is no trophy or huge payday for being an Artist of the Month winner, the benefits that come along with the title include expanded coverage and promotion. An ARTIST OF MONTH winner is awarded a month's worth of free site-wide advertising on Rockwired.com. A 60-second commercial spot promoting the winner and their album will be featured on Rockwired.com's entire programming for an entire month. The winner is also featured in a special edition of Rockwired Radio Profiles. Banners are also given to the winners to further promote their Artist of the Month status on their own website or press packets. Lastly, winners are mentioned on all Rockwired-related announcements/press materials.

"One Eyed Doll taps into the wild, crazy frenetic energy that has always made for the best kind of rockn roll." says Rockwired founder Brian Lush. "Once again, this goes to show that you're going to hear just about every kind of music there is here at Rockwired.com."
