Post-Rock & Progressive Band Sleepstream Releases Their Debut Album
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Fluttery Records) Fluttery Records (flutteryrecords.com) releases Sleepstream's debut album "A Waltz with the Seventh Crane". Powering from their post-rock, experimental, ambient and progressive influences, the band comes to testify there is more happening in Greece than a crisis.

"Letting go with a mind wide open for forty-five minutes, A Waltz with the Seventh Crane will reward you genuinely." says the Stelios from the band. Beautiful guitar and violin layering will take you on a trip from the subtle intro to "Butterflies" to the overwhelming "Light". Calm but violent, bitter but optimistic, this album doesn't leave you indifferent to their present or future endeavours as well.

Sleepstream are a post-rock band originating from Thessaloniki, Greece. They were formed by Steven (guitars and synths) and Nio (drums, percussion) during winter 2008, with Gus V. on the bass, as an experimental-progressive trio. By summer 2009 Nio and Gus left the band for occupational reasons, leaving Steven experimenting with different musicians, leading to a more polyphonic-atmospheric result. Nio's return six months later closed any remaining gaps and the band's music gradually got to today's form. By December 2010 the band came to an agreement with Fluttery records for releasing their debut album, and the "incomings" of Stratos on the violins, John on the bass and Kostas (ex-Intensity band) on the guitars finalized the core form of today's band.

The album is highly recommended for listeners of Crippled Black Phoenix, Mogwai, Red Sparowes, Phoenix and the Turtle, Mooncake. Isis, Jesu, Alchest, Rosetta, Russian Circles, Kayo Dot, Cult of Luna, Neurosis, Nadja, Pelican, Explosions In The Sky, Hammock, Saxon Shore, The Seven Mile Journey, This Will Destroy You, World's End Girlfriend, Port-Royal, God Is an Astronaut, A Journey Down The Well, Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

Sleepstream's music has a purpose of its own. Every single synthesis is a small story evolving and ending, giving birth to a next one in order to gradually reach their ultimate goal. Deeply emotional parts, punchy rhythms, blasting crescendos, all add up to an exciting, right out of the soul music, that wants to share with the listener the band's emotional travels and search for the final purpose, ascension.

The album is available on Fluttery Records(flutteryrecords.com), a "New home of Post-rock, Ambient, Experimental, Electronic, Modern Classical music". Sleepstream's "A Waltz with the Seventh Crane" is also available on major download stores like iTunes, Bandcamp, AmazonMP3. All the releases by the label can be streamed free on flutteryrecords.com.
