SYRACUSE NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) Hard rock 4 piece AmerikanPrimitive have been receiving a lot of enthusiasm from media outlets all over the world in regards to their 2011 debut release Dragstrip Courage. Vincebus Eruptum, the #1 stoner-rock magazine in Europe, has included a review of the CD in the upcoming January 2012 issue. A second review of Dragstrip Courage was published December 18th in Syracuse's own The Examiner.com. The title of the band's review was "Killer Rock and Roll" and David Garlow the magazine's reviewer claims "the band just rocks from the beginning of this CD and never relents in nailing you in the senses with killer rock and roll. They have a sound and style and stick to it on the CD. The song list is twelve songs strong and worth listening to the entire recording". Even though the European review has yet to hit the stands the band has been receiving emails from fans and friends of the stoner mag requesting their cd, as well as hearing from at least one European distributor. Gearing up for the New Year AmerikanPrimitive is set to perform at The Westcott Theater on Saturday January 7th in the final round of the Monster Energy Drink Battle of the Bands. The Battle began in the fall of 2011 and featured over three dozen local bands competing for a chance to win $1000 and be labeled as THE best local band in Upstate NY. Now in the final round AmerikanPrimitive will compete with the last four bands for a chance at the grand prize! Also the band has scheduled their record release for Friday February 10th at Club Fusion in North Syracuse.
