NEW YORK (Beastie Boys Fans Website) - Last night, The Beastie Boys stopped traffic in New York City during a performance on "The Late Show w/David Letterman."

For the stunt, the trio rocked the mic while walking through rush hour traffic, into the lobby of the building and straight onto the stage of the Letterman show.
According to their fans website, "the performance started in a tube station, with the trio identically dressed in grey trousers, blue shirts, sneakers and silver baseball hats!" They then rapped down the street, before finishing the song on the David Letterman show stage.
The live recording of the rendition was competed with just one camera shot.

The show was part of the promotion that the band have been doing for their forthcoming album 'To The Five Boroughs', which was released this week.
According to early reports, the Long Island trio is likely to earn next week's top slot as the LP is on pace to sell up to 400,000 units in its first week!
