NEW YORK (www.thecringeband.com) - The Cringe is a NYC based alternative rock band featuring: John Cusimano, vocals and guitars; Rob Levin, lead guitar; Matt Powers, bass; and Shawn Pelton, drums. The Cringe has been compared to Foo Fighters, STP, Pearl Jam, and early U2. This is one of those bands you had better see live now... by their next tour you may not be able to get tickets! The quartet's hard edge and shimmering melodies have forged them a strong following in their home town of New York City. This past May The Cringe made a huge splash when they played for over 5,000 fans at Sunfest in West Palm Beach, FL. The crowd went crazy when front man John Cusimano went into the crowd and gave away his guitar to a lucky fan during their performance of "Too Many Problems." In addition, The Cringe had the crowd on their feet when in the middle of their song "Burn" the band suddenly ripped into The Who's "Baba O'Riley." Their debut album 'Scratch The Surface' was recorded at NYC's famed Electric Lady Studios and is available now at https://www.thecringeband.com and www.cdbaby.com. LP features the singles "Burn," "Been Alone," and "Empty Table." The Cringe will perform live at Continental (25 Third Ave b/t 9th Street and St. Marks Pl., NYC) at 10pm on Saturday, June 26th.
