Lakeshore Records To Release Transformers Prime - Original Soundtrack
Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ CineMedia Promotions) Lakeshore Records, in partnership with Hasbro Studios, will release Transformers Prime - Original Soundtrack digitally on March 6th and in stores on March 13, 2012. The soundtrack features original music from the TV Series, Transformers Prime which airs on the HUB television network in the U.S., composed by Brian Tyler (The Expendables, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3). Transformers Prime earned Tyler the Emmy Award™ for Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction and Composition in 2011.

Brian Tyler is a composer of over 50 films and was recently nominated for "Film Composer of the Year" by the International Film Music Critics Association. He composed and conducted the scores for Eagle Eye for producer Steven Spielberg, the box office hits Fast Five and Fast and Furious, The Expendables and Rambo directed by Sylvester Stallone, Law Abiding Citizen, Constantine, and the epic science fiction film Battle: Los Angeles. Tyler also scored the fastest grossing entertainment event in history, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which grossed $775 million in its first 5 days. He also recently arranged and conducted the new film logo music for Universal Pictures and composed a theme for the 100 year anniversary of the studio.

Tyler began scoring features shortly after he received his bachelor's degree from UCLA and his master's degree from Harvard University. Tylerʼs score for Bill Paxtonʼs Frailty won him a World Soundtrack Award in 2002 as well as The World Soundtrack Award as Best New Film Composer of the Year. The following year he received Emmy nominations for his scores to The Last Call and Transformers: Prime. He has also won five ASCAP Film Music Awards and the most BMI Awards in 2011 (five) and was recently nominated for a record 6 Goldspirit Awards (2012) including Best Composer of the Year.

Other credits include 20th Century Foxʼs science-fiction film Timeline, Alien vs Predator: Requiem, Star Trek: Enterprise, and Terra Nova. He is also the executive producer and composer for the upcoming thriller Columbus Circle. Tyler was recently inducted into the music branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

"It was fantastic getting to compose the score for Transformers Prime because the approach was what made me excited about films when I was growing up: hearing rousing themes played by a live orchestra," said Tyler. "And for me the TRANSFORMERS characters were a part of my childhood so being able to musically dive into the world of OPTIMUS PRIME and MEGATRON was a treat."

Based on the iconic TRANSFORMERS brand from Hasbro, 'Roll Out' with all-new Transformers Prime adventures starring OPTIMUS PRIME, BUMBLEBEE, ARCEE, and the rest of the heroic AUTOBOTS as they battle the evil DECEPTICONS! Now that big bad MEGATRON has returned to Earth, OPTIMUS PRIME and his team prepare for an epic struggle to save the planet. Meanwhile, the AUTOBOTS have to also guard Jack, Miko, and Raf, three kids who've accidentally discovered them. Intense drama, heavy metal action, awesome animation -- it's all here, bigger and better than ever!

Hasbro Studios presents Transformers Prime currently airing on The Hub Network. Transformers Prime Season 1 is now available on DVD. The Transformers Prime--Original Soundtrack on Lakeshore Records will be available digitally on March 6th and in stores on March 13, 2012.
