New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Ricburn Media) Montreal-based technical death metal band Derelict has released the first new single from the upcoming album, Perpetuation, set for release on April 20th, 2012.

"Shackles Of Indoctrination" can be streamed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNeE_UT0alE

The song is also available for free download via the band's Bandcamp page, https://derelictmetal.bandcamp.com/album/perpetuation.

"Shackles was actually one of the last songs written for Perpetuation", comments Derelict guitarist Max Lussier. "I was listening to a lot of Iron Maiden,Judas Priest and Metal Church at the time and I think you can hear those influences in some of the melodies and the overall structure of the song."

In February, the band released an album teaser for Perpetuation, which featured an up-close video performance of the guitar solo from "Shackles Of Indoctrination".
