Law Rocks! - Legal Industry "Battle Of Bands" Concert For Charity Announces Band Lineup
Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts / Law Rocks!) Legal professionals are set to compete in the first annual Law Rocks! Los Angeles to benefit charitable organizations. Law Rocks! Los Angeles, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization is hosting this inaugural "battle of the bands" concert at the Whisky a Go-Go in West Hollywood on March 8, 2012. The event begins at 7pm.

Law Rocks! Los Angeles will feature 5 talented bands representing DLA Piper (Run DLA), Skadden Arps (Matthew Umhofer), Mayer Brown (Charlie Played Cello), Venable/Sheppard Mullin (Exposition Deposition) and The American Bankruptcy Institute (Indubitable Equivalents).

Each band has selected a charity. The net event proceeds will be donated to the 1st and 2nd place bands' designated charities. The winning bands will be determined by a combination of audience voting, voting by a panel of judges, and total fundraising.

This year's designated charities are the LA Regional Food Bank, the Inner City Law Center, the Amazing Day Foundation, The Painted Turtle and the Anthony H.N. Schnelling Endowment Fund.

"Our mission is to raise money for those less fortunate than ourselves, while giving the legal industry the chance to realize their potential as rock stars," states Nick Child, founder of the original Law Rocks! event in London. "This is not for people who can listen to the William Tell Overture without thinking of The Lone Ranger. This is for people and by people whose musical career was interrupted by a legal career."

Future events are being planned for San Francisco and Melbourne, Australia.
