New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Rhapsody International) If you're coming to Austin to hear the huge bands that everyone has been talking about on mainstream radio, stop reading this. But those who want to see the bands that everyone will be talking about should add the Rhapsody Rocks Austin show to their must-see lists, with exclusive headliner
Washed Out and performances by Zola Jesus, Caveman, Tanlines and Gauntlet Hair.
The Rhapsody stage is the only place to hear Washed Out, whose 2011 release, "Within and Without" won vast critical acclaim and made countless best of lists of 2011, including Rhapsody's. The event is sponsored by Jeremiah Weed Roadhouse Tea, Guinness
Black Lager, Red Stripe Light and Roobie Red Tea and takes place from noon until 6pm.
"Music isn't a competition, but if it were Rhapsody would be the NY Giants and
Washed Out our Eli Manning and Tanlines would be that guy who salsa dances when he scores a touchdown, but like from Brooklyn," says Garrett Kamps, senior director, content programming, Rhapsody. "If you're into seriously sweet jams by some seriously next big things, plus a guy who had one of 2011's most sublime albums (that would be Washed Out's "Within and Without"), then this is where you want to be."
Rhapsody Rocks is a concert series that travels around the United States and is lovingly produced by Rhapsody.
