Of Montreal Launches Tour, Collabs W/Deerhoof For Record Store Day 2012

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) of Montreal launches their massive 'Paralytic Stalks' tour on Weds March 7,and in pre-tour interviews Kevin Barnes has promised the live shows will be "hallucinatory and transportive," complete with several screens of psychedelic projections and amoeba-like creatures. After a recent sold out hometown show at The Georgia Theater in Athens, the Banner-Herald called it "entrancing."

The 7", part of Deerhoof's ongoing series with Polyvinyl, features "AFilthy Fifth" on the A-side, of Montreal's spin on Deerhoof's song "SecretMobilization." The B-side offers the first ever studio recording released of "Feminine Effects," washed in intricate harmonies and slide guitars.
