New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ FrostByte Media Inc.) The highly anticipated release of Saukrates' new album, "Season One," is due out on April 24, 2012. The album includes musical collaborations with the artistic likes of Redman, K-OS, Tasha the Amazon (Candy Coated Killas) and Richie Hennessey.
Saukrates kicked off his career in 1994 with his first track "Still Caught Up," earning him a nomination for Best Rap Recording at the 1996 Juno Awards. In 2006, he performed "
Promiscuous" with
Nelly Furtado at the 94th Grey Cup and performed "
Say It Right" at the 2006 American
Music Awards.
He has previously released two albums in North
America and has written and performed the song "
Say I" for the North American Nike campaign entitled "24/7" featuring NHL star P.K. Subban, which accounted for more than a quarter of Nike's YouTube viewership garnering more than 700,000 views as of February 9, 2012.
Saukrates toured extensively throughout
Europe as a supporting act for
Nelly Furtado on her Get Loose Tour, along with making musical appearances on the daytime television drama, "One Life to Live." He has also produced
Method Man and Redman's single "A-Yo," from their Billboard Top 10 album "Blackout! 2."
Recently Saukrates has collaborated with K-OS on the hit single "On The Run," which is a featured track on "Season One." The first single, "Drop It Down" featuring Redman, was recently released to iTunes. His second single, "Say I," continues to gain major radio play and is also armed with a video scheduled to premier on March of 2012 to coincide with the release of Season One.
