New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ CO5 Media) Red Red Records has announced a new worldwide licensing agreement with Sing It Now, for up-and-coming Los Angeles pop singer/songwriter Katrina and her new single "So Eden," from her debut full-length album "In The Blink Of An Eye." Under the terms of the agreement, Red Red Records will now make the track available across the globe through a Karaoke Synchronization License. Katrina's latest music video for the single "So Eden" recently premiered on ArtistDirect.com, was featured as the "Video Of The Day" on AOL Music, and can now be viewed on YouTube.
Katrina is currently on a U.S. tour behind her debut album and new single. Gaining airplay, "So Eden" is approaching the Top 40 at Hot AC radio, debuting as the #1 Most Added at Hot AC its first week out. The track has also been chosen to be featured in upcoming CBS
Radio Online and YAHOO! MUSIC stations' online promotions for their CHR and HOT A/C stations across the country. With three tracks in the Top 10 on the Clear Channel Media iHeartRadio Top 20 Adult Chart (So Eden #5, Shame On Me #8, and OPM #19), Katrina will be featured in CCM's iHeartRadio "NEW! In Europe, support for "So Eden" is continuing to grow with 27 stations in the UK now spinning the single, as the video moves into power rotation.
Industry trade AAA
Music UK proclaimed it "a rich & soulful lament to lost loveā¦a well produced pop record, influenced by rock, with strong, powerful vocals and an impressive vocal range." Last year, following the success of her debut pop single "Shame on Me," Katrina performed a series of live performances in London, capping off the run with a showcase at the BBC Club in the BBC's London headquarters. With two current singles charting in two countries, "Shame on Me" is still being played on radio stations across the country.
Katrina's debut dance single "OPM" (Other People's Money), hit the top 20 last summer on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart and topped the DJ Times Record Pool Picks. View the video for "OPM" now on YouTube and check out "OPM the Remixes" six-song EP available now on iTunes.
Katrina's journey into music began over 20 years ago as champion on the then hottest singing show on television, Star Search. Shorty after winning the competition, Katrina appeared on other shows, then just walked away from her singing career to focus on school and, as she says, "enjoy growing up and being a kid." Katrina would go on to earn her Masters degree in Entertainment Law and become lawyer, all the while, still composing music. During a trip to Las
Vegas for the weekend to see Cher, she had an epiphany. "I watched her and thought, if I don't go for it now I may just lose my chance forever, and never go back to music." This time Katrina walked away from her career in law and back to music.
