Hardy Morris Of Dead Confederate Plans Benefit Concert At Georgia Theatre On April 10 In Support Of The Cause

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Wounded Warrior Album Charity Official Website) An all-star band of Athens rockers will perform a show to raise funds and awareness for the project at Ga Theatre on Tuesday, April 10th at 8:00 pm. The band, which will be called "Punk Rock Lobsterz," features members of Dead Confederate, Futurebirds, Kuroma, The Quick Hooks, as well as special guests. Heavy Petty and Five Eight will also be performing.

"The Punk Rock Lobsterz will perform classic Athens rock tunes by artists such as The Glands, Star Room Boys, Widespread Panic / Vic Chesnutt, The Whigs, DBT, REM, Drivin n Cryin...and more," says Dawson Morris, project organizer.

Additionally, a group of notable musicians from Athens, Georgia, are raising funds for the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial and the Augusta Warrior Project. The bands, which include REM, Brute (Widespread Panic featuring Vic Chestnutt), Drivin' n Cryin', Bloodkin, Dead Confederate, The Whigs, Futurebirds, Ruby Kendrick, Hope for Agoldensummer, Gift Horse and Patterson Hood, have all contributed singles to raise funds for a planned memorial honoring disabled veterans in Washington, DC, and the ongoing care of our returning servicemen and women.

The fundraiser encompasses an album with both live and album versions of songs from each of the bands. Music will be available digitally through the website woundedwarrioralbumcharity.com and grooveshark.com.
