Third Day Band, will be able to ask him questions about being an adoptive parent during a 30-minute Twitter Chat this Friday at 3pm EDT (using hashtag #MACADOPTION via @macpowell). The live Q&A chat is open to all couples whether they have adopted already or are in the early stages of considering adoption. Questions can also be submitted ahead of time at https://www.adoptionjourney.org/share/macpowellchat
"Adoption has touched my family personally, and I hope this Live Twitter Chat will help encourage more couples to start or continue considering adoption to build their family," said Mac Powell, frontman for the rock band Third Day. Mac and his wife Aimee are proud parents of five children, including three biological and two adopted children.
"We love Mac's heart for adoption and are looking forward to connecting him as an adoptive parent with couples considering adoption through this live event on Twitter," said Marc Andreas, Vice-President of Marketing at Bethany Christian Services, the nation's largest adoption agency.
Third Day recently released the hit single "Children of God," which talks about our adoption as God's own sons and daughters. The music video for the song also ties the lyrics to physical adoption by featuring adopted children, including Mac and Aimee's son Emmanuel and daughter Birdie Claire.
