LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ 730 Promo) 18 year old RnB artist Jordan King is one of the most exciting prospects for the future of British music. Already an accomplished singer, writer and producer things looks beyond bright for the young East Londoner whose debut single 'Hood Love' is set for release 30th April 2012.
As a first release 'Hood Love' firmly establishes Jordan's roots within the RnB genre, with a slow jam vibe that echoes the 90s sound when RnB wasn't just an alternative word for 'urban music', but a genre in its own right. His soaring soulful vocal tells a tale of a man stuck in an emotionally isolated loop of one nightstands, perfectly accompanied by a self produced backdrop and complimented by a video directed by rising UK star Elmino which brings the story to life even more.
Although this is Jordan's first official release he's been behind the scenes honing his crafts for a number of years, initially starting singing at drama school and later joining Urban Development's Vocal
Collective (formerly home to Labrinth) as a singer and producer. Fast forward a touch and Jordan's bagged himself a few awards, won various talent competitions and graced the stages of prestigious venues such as Hackney Empire, Ministry of Sound and and even performed at a full to capacity Trafalgar
Square live on Kiss FM. During this journey Jordan has shared the stage with numerous musical luminaries including Lloyd, Doaneo, Tinie Tempah, Sway, Kano,
Loick Essien and
Maverick Sabre gaining approval and support from the likes of
Radio DJs including Ronnie Herel, CJ Beatz and DJ Target and fellow artists Scorcher,
Sneakbo and US RnB star
Bobby V amongst others along the way.
Hood Love is the first release from Jordan's forthcoming EP so keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming assault of videos, collaborations, uptempo bangers, ballads and more from the talented youngster.
You can catch Jordan King preforming live with a full band at Dingwalls in Camden on the 11th of April at Sing Along Easter Special supporting Dot Rotten.
