Big Daddy Weave To Release New Album 'Love Come To Life' April 17
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ WORD Entertainment) Dove Award-winning group Big Daddy Weave encountered more obstacles than they could have ever imagined to make the album of their career, Love Come To Life, their first studio album in three years. It's an album that came through fire - literally: the tracks survived a devastating blaze that swept through guitarist/producer Jeremy Redmon's house and studio. "This project has been three years in the making. We've faced failures and walked through personal disasters," says frontman Mike Weaver. "We can even say this record literally came through fire, as we watched where we record be destroyed by it. But through all of that, we came to find that God is still so much more than enough! This is a record of the realities of life and of how God is faithful, always."

The result is that songs like the title track and "Save My Life," a song Mike describes as "gut-level honesty," give way to others like "Magnificent God," whose spirit of worship is set amid a sound both intimate and majestic; "Jesus Move," a passionate call for Jesus' power to flow into believers, written with Phil Wickham; "Different Light," a celebration of the way faith rewrites even the most troubled past; and "If You Died Tonight," a tenderly insistent request to a friend to consider ultimate truths.

"We are excited about the album," says keyboards/saxophone player Joe Shirk. "I think fans are going to love it. It's an opportunity to point to something way bigger than the band, to the body of believers working together, bringing glory to the Lord."

"This is the most transparent record we've ever done," adds drummer Jeff Jones. "It's one that all of us are super excited about. We can give it to people and say, 'This is what God has been doing in our lives.'"

Following in the footsteps of a decade of hits like "In Christ," "Audience of One," "You're Worthy Of My Praise," "Every Time I Breathe," "What Life Would Be Like," and "You Found Me," the group has already seen first single "Love Come to Life" become the No. 1 Christian AC Single at radio. Their next single, "Redeemed," will be released May 11. "What God sees when He looks at us through the perfect sacrifice of His Son is complete redemption," says Weaver. "I am learning how to live seeing my self the way God sees me -- redeemed."

Big Daddy Weave formed when Mike Weaver, Jay Weaver, Jeremy Redmon, Jeff Jones and Joe Shirk were in college at the University of Mobile, and that original fivesome continues to write, produce, and inspire together. They stepped into the spotlight in 2002 with the release of their second album One and Only, which debuted in SoundScan's Christian Top 5 and saw the group nominated as Dove Awards New Artist of the Year. Their 2010 album Christ Has Come won a Dove for Christmas Album of the Year, and they recently released their first greatest hits compilation, The Ultimate Collection. They have been honored at ASCAP's Christian Music Awards, were chosen for the WOW Hits compilations in five of the last six years, and are one of the 10 most played artists at Christian radio over the past decade.
