Mr. Metzgar manages and does promotional work for a limited number of extremely prestigious & outstanding clients who are developing their careers with various record labels in Nashville, New York, and Hollywood. He was voted the Producer Of The Year in 1993 at the MIRL awards by country radio during CMA Fan Fair week of June 1993. He was nominated for a prestigious black gospel award in 1993 for his outstanding work as a producer of
Black Gospel music.
Winner of ASCAP's prestigious popular music awards in 1991, 1992, and 1993, Mr. Metzgar's mother was also an ASCAP songwriter for the Baptist Broadman Press in Nashville and is the writer of the world famous gospel hymn, Jesus Breaks Every Fetter. Together Mr. Metzgar and his mother form a 75 year loyalty to ASCAP as songwriters. Voted into Who's Who in Country
Music Production in the years 1993-1997, Mr. Metzgar was the top recruiter for membership in the CMA (Country
Music Association) in Nashville for 1993. He has had a song he produced for television or radio in the Hot Country Singles Charts every week for several years and was voted Cashbox Magazine's Producer of the Year for years 1993-1995. Mr. Metzgar is the only producer in history to have ever had 11 single releases all with bullets in the Hot Country Singles Charts in the same week February 10th, of 1994.
He has been elected to the
Legends Hall Of Fame and the Academy Of International Recording Artists Hall Of Fame. Mr. Metzgar is also in the West
Texas Music Hall Of Fame in the pioneers of bluegrass section. Mr. Metzgar works as a music producer for very high value clients and serves in an advisory capacity for various other music labels, publishing companies and music projects. He was elected to "Who's Who In Entertainment" in the year 2000 and the Smokey River Boys were elected to the
Legends Hall Of Fame in Branson in 2003.
Mr. Metzgar is prominently mentioned in the official autobiography of
Garth Brooks entitled, "American Thunder" which is published by
Random House. He is also the author of two books, "Artist Survival Manual" and "You Are The Greatest." A motivational and music production expert, Mr. Metzgar continues to produce and write for his select client list and sign acts to his label in Nashville. He has judged the Miss America, Miss USA, and Miss Tennessee contests as well as participated as a judge for Nashville's Star Seek, and other television shows. His television production skills in Nashville are mentioned in many of the autobiographies of Nashville superstars from the TNN (The Nashville Network) days of television.
