LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ MSO PR) Los Angeles-based electro house production duo COLD BLANK has announced the release of their much-anticipated debut album. Out August 6 on their own independent imprint Burn The Fire, THE AGENDA sees producers/DJs Chris Gaspar and Manny Luquin teaming up to create what will be one of the leading releases from an independent electronic act this year.
The album's newly released first single "Louder Than Bombs" recently made its debut on MTV Hive. Says Steven Aguiar of the track (5/7), " 'Louder than Bombs' opens with a meandering lead synth, and the tension builds as an echoing vocal sample is phased in before being disrupted by a monstrous flurry of wobbling bass gnarls." The track hit #13 on the Beatport Top 100 Dubstep chart two days after its release. "Louder Than Bombs" can be purchased on Beatport here: https://www.beatport.com/release/louder-than-bombs/905175.
In support of THE AGENDA, COLD BLANK has confirmed a select run of North American tour dates, including a headlining set at the famed Monday Night Social at Playhouse in Los Angeles May 14.
THE AGENDA has already garnered support from some of today's biggest stars in electronic/dance music (EDM), including Tiƫsto, who recently featured album tracks "Deception" and "
Los Angeles" in his Club Life podcast,
Knife Party, Steve Aoki, Tommy Trash, Lazy Rich, Gareth Emery, Lucky Date, DJ Aero, Dirtyloud, Revolvr and many more. "Fantastic, fresh, innovative sh**!" says EDM heavyweight
Porter Robinson about THE AGENDA.
COLD BLANK is set to release their forthcoming single "Deception," featuring vocals from
Blake Miller of Moving Units fame, June 4. Elsewhere on the album, collaborators and features include Andy Taylor (Duran Duran's original lead guitarist), who lends his legendary guitar skills on the track "Onslaught,"Veela, Electric Soulside and Neon Stereo. About COLD BLANK:
Destroying dancefloors everywhere with massively heavy beats, Chris Gaspar and Manny Luquin, the electro house producers behind COLD BLANK, are at the top of their game. As owners of the reputable record label Burn The Fire, they have their finger on the pulse of raw EDM and are keeping it pumping hard with their debut full-length album THE AGENDA out August 6.
Launching their BTF brand in 2008 with a wildly successful party in Los Angeles called
Smash Disco, COLD BLANK has played a large role in shaping the scene and sound of the Southern California dance world. The next year saw their very first release chart on the Beatport Top 100 and they've continuously hit the marker ever since. Early tracks like "Dutchie," "Raver Booty" and "The Lizard King"" have become electro house anthems, and more recent songs like "Die Famous," "Redroid" and "Ancient Physic Tandem War Elephant" show that COLD BLANK has no intention of slowing down. Having remixed artists like Chuckie, Robbie Rivera, Zedd, Spencer & Hill, Vandalism, Rank 1, PeaceTreaty and even Cypress Hill, Rusko and Damian Marley, their extensive catalog is supported by many top DJs including
David Guetta, Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Moby,
Knife Party, Axwell, John Dahlback,
Morgan Page, Paul Oakenfold, and more. COLD BLANK also currently host their weekly Burn The Fire radio show on the Electric Sound Stage channel on iHeartRadio.
