LOS ANGELES (iFanz Records) - iFanz.com's iFanz Records (a subsidiary of McCartney Multimedia Inc.) announced today that it is teaming up with Apple and its revolutionary iTunes
Music Store to offer music fans the ability to browse and purchase a wide selection of music from a range of iFanz artists. iFanz will also continue to offer its "Burn on demand" record label feature to its artists, which allows them to continue to sell their entire CDs via the web (which are mailed to the customer in a full sized jewel case complete with liner notes, CD etc.).
Thanks to Apple's iTunes Music Store, music from the iFanz catalog is now available on the world's No 1 online music (download) store, giving iFanz Pro members' fans the easiest way to legally download music from their favorite bands. The iTunes Music Store offers Mac and Windows users the industry's largest online music catalog of over half-a-million songs, "gold standard" personal use rights and uniform 99 cents-per-song pricing.
iFanz President and music industry veteran Andrew Frances points out that "by adding iTunes downloading services for our iFanz artists to our already successful iFanz 'burn and mail on demand' music distribution system, iFanz is poised to define how music is now to be marketed in the 21st century."
CEO and inventor of iFanz Ruth McCartney adds: " Indie, one-to-one distribution is here to stay and we are proud to be associated with iTunes as we pioneer the new, fair, industry model."
iFanz initial artist offerings for download via iTunes currently include: Edgar Winter, the Knack and Orleans. Music and spoken word material is being prepared by many other high profile iFanz and McCartney clients for inclusion in iTunes in Q3.
The iTunes Music Store offers music from all five major music companies and over 450 independent labels. The iTunes Music Store also offers online gift certificates, Apple's patent-pending "Allowance" feature which lets parents automatically deposit funds into their kids' iTunes Music Store account every month, Celebrity Playlists, iTunes Essentials, Billboard Charts and hundreds of exclusive tracks across dozens of genres of music.
