New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Gig Productions) Shaun Canon, Singer/Songwriter and former American Idol alumni was recently signed to GiG Productions. "We are quite excited about Shaun coming on board with us," said Jeff Arcio, CEO of GiG Productions.

Random Cartoons and Univision Latino. They have written for, produced or performed with everyone from N'Sync to Andrae Crouch.
With Shaun on board as a singer/songwriter, the management team will focus more on live performances, music placement, and supporting music and arts programs in school which is a cause near to his heart.. Shaun Canon (formerly known as Shaun Barrowes) just completed his very successful 2011 "Live For
Music Tour", which was held at various high schools and colleges. Shaun donates half the proceeds of the concert to the schools hosting and participating in the events.
A follow up "Live for
Music 50/50 Tour" is already in the works and will be a series of nationwide events. The Tour is scheduled kick off is January 2013 and will run until March 30, 2013.
Shaun has already had a taste of success with his early single and EP releases. His latest and very impressive school anthem titled "Live For Music" was released May 19, 2012 with the video reaching over 100,000 views in a week on YouTube. Drum Corps International sponsored the video and is one of the sponsors of Shaun Canon's and "Live For Music" tour.
Shortly thereafter, Shaun released "A More Meaningful Life" on May 31, 2012 for the health juice company MonaVie. The video is currently climbing the YouTube charts and is expected to reach over 200,000 views.
This talented artist has always had an insatiable appetite for music. As a songwriter, he draws from vivid memories of his military childhood, awkward dating experiences from his high school charades, and current adventures and excursions as a traveling musician.
Music has always been the catharsis to Shaun's soul, allowing him to freely express his passions and emotions to the world. Shaun constantly feels the need to compose and perform what he feels is missing in the musical universe.
"When I write a song, I get this anxious feeling that something is not right in the world. It's as if there's a hole in the universe that needs to be filled, and somebody needs to fill it to restore balance back into the world. As soon as I compose the new piece of music that's stirring in my mind, this balance is restored and I can go back to sleep," says Shaun.
Shaun has performed both nationally and internationally. He has shared the stage with Mandy Moore, teen pop sensation Greyson Chance, Lindsey Stirling, Brian McKnight, Janelle Monae, and others.
Coming on board with GiG Productions will bring greater opportunities to expose Shaun's music to a larger and more diverse audience as well as music projects in film and television.
