Toronto, Ontario (Top40 Charts/ Skylar Entertainment) Canadian singer/songwriter Heather Hill is said to be a peace maker, a mess maker, and is now on her way to having everything fall right into place. Not only did this songstress perform a packed house show at the
Drake Underground in Toronto; but, she is now excited to share some dates announced for a Canadian tour in support of her debut album Leuty Station.
With the percussive quality of
Tori Amos and the vocal phrasing sensibilities of Kate Bush, Hill's music speaks to how women make it through life's trials with strength and grace. Hill is dedicated to the craft of songwriting and as such has run the Toronto Songwriting Guild for the last four years. An inspired place for artists to gather to share and grow their songwriting craft, the Guild meets each month to perform a song, provide feedback, give support, discuss the music business, and/or listen to a speaker.
"Leuty Station is like walking into a beautiful dream and not wanting to wake up from it...As the sounds of Jazz, Latin and R&B flow out of my speakers, I find myself entranced with every single song." - LipStik Indie Review
"Heather Hill's Leuty Station is a remarkable and beautiful sounding disc. With strong vocals, imaginative words, music with hooks and expansive arrangements, she presents an interesting strong female image lyrically." "Between the Leather and the Lining" is a terrific song that reminds me of "Penny Lane", which is about ordinary things that go on in this shopping district of Liverpool but also the magical stuff that occurs. Heather is singing about purses or handbags, ordinary objects and yet she makes them magical. - Beautiful song... It's that kind of thing that separates this from the typical Canadian singer/songwriter record." - Blair Packham, CFRB In The Studio
