About Versatile Excell :
Born into a large Jamiacan family, Sekou "Versatile" Excell was taught early on to live up to his last name. Born in Brooklyn, and spending his teen years in Australia gave him a bigger scope than most others. But everything wasn't always great; he spent most of his time with the female members of his family largely due to the fact that his father and brothers were either in jail or dead. To relieve his stress, he turned to writing. Poems, scripts, anything to get out what was inside him at the time. His music career starts when he decides to rap over Shawty Lo's 2008 hit "Dey Know". This freestyle gave him the confidence he needed to pursue a career in the music business. Versatile has recently released a new mixtape, called Diversity 2: Growth, furthering his reach and influence in the hip hop vs reggae realm.
