Music Group (UMG) has appointed Jens Kessler to Chief Information Officer, it was announced today by Boyd Muir, UMG's Executive Vice President and CFO, to whom he reports.
Based in Los Angeles, Mr. Kessler will be responsible for all aspects of UMG's Global Information Technology (IT) division, managing the strategy, development and implementation of all country and regional IT systems.
"Throughout his tenure at UMG, Jens has proven himself to be an innovative and pragmatic executive with the essential hands-on-experience and skill set to oversee this key area of our global business," stated Mr. Muir. "We're delighted to recognize his achievement with this well-deserved promotion."
Mr. Kessler began his career at UMG as Vice President of IT at Universal
Music Germany. He was later promoted to Vice President of IT, Supply Chain and Sourcing at Universal
Music Group International's London headquarters.
